Modern Total Productive Maintenance

The whole book, taught chapter by chapter: the six big losses, the eight pillars, quality, early equipment management, people and safety, then data, sensors, predictive maintenance, OEE and the roadmap to TPM 4.0. Twenty lessons. Free, no account, nothing to install.

Step one · Read

The chapter, broken into the separate ideas you will be asked to use. Read it, or have it read to you.

Step two · Work

A bench you can change: set up a programme, a line or a loss log and see what the chapter says happens. Then go look at a real machine.

Step three · Prove

A new situation every attempt. Miss one and you are told why that choice fails, and sent back to the exact idea it was testing.

Your progress is kept on your own device. Close the tab, walk the floor, and pick it up where you left it. Nothing is transmitted and nobody is asked who you are. This class teaches the management system; it does not qualify anyone to work on live equipment. Lockout, energy isolation and repair belong to trained maintenance staff following your site's procedures.

Want the short course instead? TPM Fundamentals teaches the losses, OEE and the pillars in ten lessons and has its own certificate exam.

The twenty lessons

One per chapter, in the book's order. Lessons open as they are built.

    The Certificate of Comprehension

Working the lessons is practice, and practice does not earn a certificate. The certificate comes from a separate exam that is graded on our server, so no answer key ever reaches your browser and no score can be reported by the student.

The exam is fifty-four questions, at least two from each lesson, and you need 80% to pass. It records comprehension of the book. It is not a trade licence, an industry credential, or a qualification issued by any authority.
