For millions of learners, the hardest part of asking for help is not the question. It is the language. Someone who thinks in Farsi, Arabic, Portuguese or Spanish may understand a great deal of English and still freeze at the idea of writing to a school in it. So many never write at all.
Global Sovereign University decided to remove that barrier. Every page on the site now carries a "Write in your language" button.
How it works.
The instant welcome is currently written in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Arabic, and Persian (Farsi). If you do not name a language the page recognizes, it reads the script of your name and message, Arabic or Persian letters, for example, and greets you in the most likely language. Your message reaches a person at GSU, who will reply.
The question matters more than the language it arrives in.
Why we built it
GSU's mission is free education for all, and "all" includes people whose first language is not English. Many of our learners read at a beginning level, and many are new to the country. A student who writes in her own language is telling us something real about what she needs. A student who never writes is invisible. We would rather meet people where they are.
We built this after a visitor wrote to us in Persian, explaining in his own words that he did not understand the language box. He was right: the page should have understood him. Now it does.
For conversation, there is GENO
The Write button is for messages to GSU. For learning, GENO, our AI tutor, holds real spoken conversations in many languages, at any hour. A learner can read an English passage and discuss it in the language their thinking lives in, which is a bridge no crowded classroom can build. GSU's Language Lab brings together reading, listening, and conversation practice in one place.
An honest note on privacy
The Write form sends your name, your language, your message, and the email address you give us to GSU so that we can reply. We use it only to answer you. Do not include passwords, account numbers, or other sensitive details in your message.
